QUEENS — Two Queens robbers swindled cash and a cellphone from unsuspecting pedestrians by claiming to be police officers, the NYPD said.

Police are looking for two suspects they say are involved in series of six different robberies that took place in the 104th Precinct, the 108th Precinct and the 110th Precinct that started last October.

In all the thefts, one man approaches a victim while pretending to be a police officer and asks the person to take out his or her possessions. Once the impersonator has the victim's belongings he hops into a black car and his accomplice drives away, police said.

In most of the robberies, the suspects managed to make off with petty cash, credit and debit cards and one cellphone, police said.

In their two most recent heists, the pair got away with larger amounts of cash:

On Feb 26., just after midnight, the pair stole $650 from a 33-year-old-man by the intersection of Corona Avenue and 103rd Street in Corona, police said.

A few blocks away on March 15 around 5:30 a.m. the duo targeted a 45-year-old man and made off with $480, police said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
