WASHINGTON HEIGHT — An adorable white and gray cat turned himself into an Uptown police precinct and now officers have taken to social media to try and find the kitty's owner.

Officers at the 34th Precinct tweeted a photo of the whiskered wanderer in hopes of returning the lost feline to his home.

"This cat walked into the 34 Pct today. Officer Andrea DiNella would like to know if anyone is missing him #uptown," the precinct tweeted Monday.

The precinct did not immediately respond to request for additional comment.

This isn't the first time precincts have used Twitter to track down owners of lost animals in the city.

Last month, the 108th Precinct in Sunnyside was able to find the owner of a dog named Snowy after posting about the lost pooch on Twitter.

Police at the 88th Precinct also found a small dog last month and tweeted a photo of the dog dressed in a police hat.
