MIDTOWN — It was like "Small Time Crooks," but with a big payout.

Thieves broke the into the building next door to a jewelry shop last weekend, then smashed open a hole in the wall and stole watches valued at $100,000 — the second time they've pulled off a heist like that in recent days, police said.

The burglary took place at some point between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning at The Finest Inn at 110 W. 57th St. Police believe it's the second heist in five days by the same suspects.

On Feb. 23 three masked bandits broke into a Lexington Avenue jewelry store by burrowing a tunneling through the wall of a neighboring building lobby, just like the weekend incident. Suspects snatched $150,000 that time, police said.

In an eerie video captured by security cameras, two two masked thieves root through trays of watches and pass the booty out of view of the camera.

The Finest Inn could not be reached for immediate comment.
