► The Johnny Cash 83rd Birthday Bash

The Bell House celebrates the Man in Black with four shows on Friday and Saturday where Alex Battles & The Whisky Rebellion will play Cash's songs. This year The Bell House has added an all ages matinee on Sunday where the younger generation can get to know Cash's music.
Where: Rustik Tavern, 471 Dekalb Ave., Bed-Stuy
End your weekend with some brunch favorites like chicken and waffles and eggs benedict at Rustik Tavern. The unlimited cocktail specials from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. will warm up your vocal cords as the neighborhood eatery kicks off their new Karaoke Sunday hours starting at 5 p.m. Crooners get a free lemon drop shot after each first song.

Cocktail and cigar lounge Velvet is turning up the heat Friday night with a burlesque show. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. and will also feature games and gogo dancing. No cover.

► Feminist Art Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon
Where: Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights
Bring your laptop and get your virtual red pen ready for this "edit-a-thon" to "correct Wikipedia’s pervasive gender bias and inaccuracies" about female artists, organizers from the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art said. Reference guides and the museum's experts will be on hand to help. 3 to 8 p.m., free with museum admission.

Your vegan friends will love you for introducing them to this pop-up, where vendors from across the city gather with food, soaps and clothing that are designated animal-product-free. Even if you're not into the burgers, lasagna, baked goods or chocolate available, at least you'll be able to have one of the St. Patrick's Day drink specials.
► Beginner Composition & Lighting in the Park
Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park, 334 Furman St., Brooklyn Heights
Photographer Alexa Hoyer will lead a free session on the basics of street photography through the snow-covered Brooklyn Bridge Park at 3 p.m. on Saturday. No technical skill is needed for this session, where Hoyer will talk about composition, lighting and depth of field. Just bring any digital camera, preferably an SLR, and the camera manual. Where: Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Heights
This screening of the "90-Second Newbury Film Festival" shows movies made by kids and teens that summarize the plots of popular books for children and young adults. Co-hosted by author Peter Lerangis. 2 to 4 p.m., free and open to the public.
