SOHO — An upscale SoHo boutique selling winter coats that cost nearly $2,000 was hit by shoplifters twice in just three days, police said.
Thieves first struck the Moncler store at 90 Prince St. on February 26, when a pair of men came into the shop about 6:30 p.m. and began trying on jackets, police said. One of the men hid a Moncler coat worth about $1,795 beneath his coat, and the pair walked out, police said.
Two days later, on February 28 about 5 p.m., a man walked into the store and took a $1,795 coat without anyone noticing and left, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether the two incidents were connected.
Moncler did not immediately return a request for comment.
