PARKCHESTER — A knife-wielding robber was caught on surveillance footage confronting two women in a Bronx elevator before stealing their money last week, police said.
Security footage from inside the elevator shows the robber waving knife at the two victims. In the video, the man, who's wearing a grey jacket, a black sweatshirt and baseball hat, takes a step toward one of the women and appears to argue with them. The woman puts her hand out to shield herself.
The robbery occurred on Feb. 16 just before 7 p.m. in the 43rd precinct. The thief stole a purse and an undetermined amount of money, though neither of the women was injured, police said.
He is thought to be in his early twenties and is around 5 feet 10 inches.
