BROOKLYN — A man believed to be responsible for the September murder of a Crown Heights man has been arrested, police said Wednesday.

Delvin Garcia, 29, was arrested Wednesday about 3:35 p.m. in the 75th Precinct at 1470 East New York Ave. and charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Garcia was arrested for the murder of Anthony Freeman, 26, who was beaten to death inside his apartment building on Sept. 2, 2014, police said. Freeman was found dead with blunt force trauma wounds to his head at 1639 St. Marks Ave., near Eastern Parkway.

The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office said Garcia had not been arraigned yet. Attorney information was not immediately available.
