Brooklyn Night Bazzar is getting into the Valentine’s weekend spirit this evening, offering sexy gift bags from Babeland to the first 100 guests. Momofuku is also on site, offering an array of delightful sweet treats. Car2go is hosting a ping pong tournament. Entry is free, but if you’re hungry and want to beat the queue, their $25 Tastepass is good value. Sample food from 5 vendors (which include Bareburger, Kitchen Covo and Ice & Vice) and also get one drink selection from their craft beer and wine bars. The bands Titus Andronicus and FUTUREBIRDS are playing live, too. From 7 p.m. — 1 a.m. 165 Banker St. Greenpoint.

Peter Weir’s classic 1975 film “Picnic at Hanging Rock,” set on Valentine’s Day, is a strange tale of school girls who mysteriously disappear while on a school trip. The film is screening Friday evening from 9:30 p.m. at The Rubin Museum Of Art. Get there earlier, 7 p.m., for a talk titled “Gender As Performance Artist: Genesis Breyer P-Orridge” starring performance and music artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge in conversation with writer and City University of New York professor Jesse Prinz. $20. 150 W. 17th St., Chelsea.
