CARROLL GARDENS — Maybe he had the late night munchies.
A man was arrested inside of a 24-hour Rite Aid early Saturday morning after stealing a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream and a six-pack of Budweiser from the drugstore and consuming them right in front of police, according to officials.
Nicholas Thompson, 25, helped himself to a $5 pint of Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby and a six-pack of 12-ounce Budweiser beers worth $8 from the drugstore at 320 Smith St. around 4 a.m. on Feb. 7, police said.
According to the report, police were called to the store and confronted Thompson, who proceeded to eat the vanilla malt ice cream flavor with fudge-covered pretzels and peanut butter swirls as they looked on.
There were also "multiple" open bottles of beer beside him, according to a criminal complaint from the Brooklyn DA's office.
Thompson was arrested at 4:14 a.m. and charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and consumption of alcohol in public.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday. Bail was set at $1,000 bond or cash, according to court records. Thompson's attorney, Pooja Kothari, did not immediately wish to comment.
Rite Aid officials did not immediately respond to request for comment.

► A 42-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach with an unknown sharp object last Friday around 3:23 p.m. in Red Hook. The victim was walking home when he was approached by an individual who stabbed him in the upper left side of his abdomen on Bush Street, near Lorraine Street. The victim survived and was taken to Lutheran Hospital.
► More than $5,500 worth of jewelry, clothes and electronic devices were stolen from a Cobble Hill home on Feb. 5 between 8 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. The 44-year-old victim returned from work and noticed the locks to the front door weren't correctly lined up.
The stolen items were valued in total at $5,640, including a $1,200 antique necklace, a handmade coat worth $2,000, a $300 Toshiba laptop and a $170 Cartier ring.
► A woman in Cobble Hill left about $10,324 worth of valuables in her car overnight and awoke to find them missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the Jeep Wrangler, which the 47-year-old victim said she parked and locked on Baltic Street between 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 to 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 5.
The property stolen included a vintage necklace worth $2,800, a cross necklace at $2,500, a Fortunoff necklace at $2,000, a gold cross at $1,975, two pairs of Ted Muehling earrings, a $450 leather tote, a 32-inch Marucci maple baseball bat at $89 and a car book manual.
