SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — Freshly fried mini doughnuts have popped up in the Seaport.

Doughnuttery, an artisanal doughnut maker based in Chelsea Market, has opened a temporary spot on Fulton Street — inside an ersatz greenhouse.

The mini sweets — which are fried on a little doughnut-making machine inside the glassed-in pop-up that's filled mostly with fake plants — will be available through the end of February, said Doughnuttery owner Evan Feldman.

Doughnuttery had been in talks to move inside the Fulton Stall Market’s indoor space on Front Street last year, but those plans were never definite, Feldman said.

The bakery is still looking for a longer-term space in the South Street Seaport, he said.

“We love the Seaport and the community down there,” Feldman said. “We’re still exploring ways to have a more permanent presence there.”

The Fulton Stall Market — an outdoor group of vendors selling gourmet food, farm-fresh produce and handmade crafts — announced in October that it would be moving to a year-round space at 207 Front St. in October.

Vendors have slowly moved in since then, with the greenmarket selling locally grown fruits and vegetables every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m in the Front Street space, also known as Cannon's Walk.
