NEW YORK CITY — You might have to revise your weekend sledding plans.

A storm that threatened to bring 48 hours of nonstop snow to New York City is now targeting areas farther north, according to the National Weather Service.

The only chance of snow will be on Sunday night, meteorologists said.

“It’s going to be cloudy the whole weekend with chances of rain starting on Saturday sometime after midnight,” said Brian Ciemnecki from the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be in the low 20s with wind chills in the teens on Friday night into Saturday morning, Ciemnecki said.

But temperatures will rise into the mid 30s on Saturday and to almost 40 degrees on Sunday, with chances of rain during the day.

The rain might turn into snow on Sunday night about 6 p.m., according to NWS.

"Expect a mix of rain and snow on Monday morning," Ciemnecki said.
