CROWN HEIGHTS — A teenager is wanted for robbing seven people in three months in eastern Crown Heights, officials said Monday.

Police say Richard Rogers, 16, is responsible for stealing cellphones, a wallet and cash during seven muggings in the blocks from Utica to Buffalo avenues between St. Johns Place and Bergen Street.

Rogers has robbed seven people in total, police said, sometimes confronting them with a handgun and other times snatching cash or phones from unsuspecting victims before running away.

Most of his victims are fellow teens, like an 18-year-old woman whose cellphone he stole on Sept. 27, police said. But two victims were men in their 30s, one of whom Rogers threatened with a gun at about 4 a.m. on Nov. 22 before taking his phone, police said.

A Dec. 31 mugging that police originally said happened in front of the 77th Precinct stationhouse, actually occurred at 1340 Lincoln Pl., a residential block, according to a corrected report from the NYPD.

The NYPD released Rogers’ photo and is asking the public to help find him.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
