BROOKLYN — Two thieves sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint and stabbed her boyfriend in a Brownsville apartment Sunday morning before running off with their television and cash, police said.

The suspects entered the Sutter Avenue apartment building about 3:45 a.m. along with two other men but then split off, according to the NYPD.

The men then burst into the apartment with a gun drawn and demanded the couple hand over their belongings, police said.

They repeatedly stabbed the 35-year-old man in the torso, NYPD officials said. He was listed in stable condition at Brookdale hospital.

They also sexually assaulted his girlfriend before snatching the TV and cash and then fleeing the scene, police said.

Surveillance footage shows four men entering the building. One wore a red beanie, another wore a black one, a third had a gray hoodie and the last man had a black jacket, video shows.

An NYPD spokeswoman was not able to say which of the group went on to attack the couple.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
