NORWOOD — A New Jersey man was found dead in the trunk of a BMW near Woodlawn Cemetery Thursday afternoon, a day after he was reported missing, police said.
Jordan Johnson, 24, had missed a Harlem rendezvous with his girlfriend Wednesday night and she returned to their shared apartment in Fort Lee, N.J., to find it ransacked and burlgarized, according to NorthJersey.com.
His body was found in the trunk of a car a black 2013 BMW that appeared to be his own at East 211th Street and Tryon Avenue near Woodlawn Cemetery about 2 p.m. Thursday, according to the NYPD and reports.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
New York's medical examiner's office will determine how he died, police said.
