Police Searching for Two Suspects in Fatal Shooting of Dad

CHINATOWN — Police are looking for two suspects in the fatal shooting of a dad who was returning to his Chinatown apartment after shopping for gifts for his family last week. 

Rashaun Nicholson, 31, died from a bullet wound to the head after he got into a fight with another person outside a homeless shelter at 78 Catherine St. about 7 p.m. last Sunday.

Police released the photo of two men wanted in connection to the shooting — one man in red hoodie and the other in dark clothing with a hood.

Nicholson spent the day shopping in Brooklyn for a gift for his wife, Fontaine Nicholson. He lived in the nearby Catherine Street housing complex.
