JAMAICA — A robber burst into a Petland Discounts in Queens waving a large sword, police said.

The suspect charged into the pet store at 85-17 126th St. in Jamaica at 5:05 p.m. on Dec. 13 and threatened the employee on duty with the sword, police said. He demanded money and an employee's cellphone.

The robber made off with about $400 in cash and a Samsung cellphone, police said. No one was injured. Police did not have a description of the sword.

Police are searching for the man, who was caught on surveillance video inside another store. Police described him as about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, and said he was last seen wearing a tan jacket, a baseball hat and blue jeans.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
