PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — Police are looking for a teenage girl they say punched a straphanger on the subway last month before fleeing at a stop near Prospect Park.
The assault happened just before 11 p.m. on Oct. 30 on a Manhattan-bound train on the B/Q line, police said.
The suspect, who is between the ages of 16 and 18, got into an argument with an unidentified 38-year-old woman on the train, police said. The teen punched her in the head and face before taking off through the train doors into the Prospect Park station, located a block away from the park between Flatbush and Ocean avenues in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.
A photo released by the police department shows the suspect wearing a black coat and white jeans and carrying a black and white striped purse.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
