JACKSON HEIGHTS — An apartment building may rise on the site of a former church on Roosevelt Avenue next to the next to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, according to records.

A 15-story building with ground-floor retail space and medical centers on the second floor is set for 71-17 Roosevelt Ave., according to permits filed with the Department of Buildings.

The building will have more than 95,000 square feet of residential space, 8,400 square feet of commercial space on Roosevelt Avenue and more than 18,000 square feet of community space, the application said.

The plans were first reported by New York YIMBY, which said there will be 139 apartments and a parking garage with room for 167 cars.

Recreation rooms and outdoor space will take up the top floor, the site said.

The former New York Cho Dae Church was sold in August 2013 for $7 million to Roosevelt 5 LLC, according to city records.

That LLC is operated by Werber Management, in Elmhurst, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
