
PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Two teenage boys were hospitalized Thursday morning after a stabbing at Clara Barton High School in Prospect Heights, police said.
A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the torso and a 17-year-old was slashed in the shoulder inside the school at 901 Classon Ave., between President and Carroll streets, just before 9:15 a.m., officials said.
Both were treated at Kings County Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Officials said neither victim has cooperated with police investigating the assault.
One person of interest in the case was detained at the high school after the assault and was being questioned by police.
It’s unclear what sparked the altercation. The Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
