QUEENS — A 68-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a man in the Murray Hill apartment they shared Saturday night, police said.
Josefina Mendoza was in her apartment at 149-45 Northern Blvd., near 149th Place, about 11:40 p.m. when Naser Alzein, 51, repeatedly stabbed her, according to the NYPD.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The two shared the apartment and may have been romantically involved, an NYPD spokesman said.
Alzein was arrested on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
