CARROLL GARDENS — Satisfy your sweet tooth at happy hour.

Raaka Chocolate is teaming up with Other Half Brewing Company for a beer and chocolate tasting in Carroll Gardens next week.

The Red Hook chocolate factory will be offering eight bars that will be paired with draft beers from the Brooklyn brewing company, organizers said.

This is the first collaboration between Raaka and Other Half Brewing Company, a micro brewery that’s based in Carroll Gardens, said Ryan Mellinger, the chocolate company’s community director.

Other Half is "known for making beer they like instead of following the rules," according to organizers.

The event, on Nov. 20 from 5-10 p.m. is free and requires no reservations. It will take place at Other Half’s tasting room at 195 Center St. in Carroll Gardens.

Raaka, which will be selling its sweets at the tasting, will serve some of its most popular bars, such as the Himalayan Pink Sea Salt dark chocolate bar, the Vanilla Rooibos that’s made with unfermented rooibos tea and the Madagascar dark chocolate bar.

The “intense flavors” of Raaka’s chocolates and Other Half Brewing’s beers, such as the Other Half IPA and the Imperial Stout, makes the combination work so well together, Mellinger said.

“We’re big fans of craft beer at Raaka,” said Mellinger, who added that the chocolate makers are looking to host more tastings in the future with whiskey distilleries and wineries.

“It’s a nice unique pairing."
