ELMHURST — The young woman killed near a Queens Boulevard nightclub on Halloween was mourned Sunday during a candlelight vigil steps from where she was gunned down.

Tamar Sermons, 20, was shot and killed near the corner of Queens Boulevard and Barnwell Avenue, down the block from Club Hive, after someone opened fire into a group of people on Oct. 31, police said.

Police had been sent to the club, at 79-21 Queens Blvd., at about 4 a.m. to disperse an unruly crowd inside, an NYPD spokesman said.

But once the crowd moved outside, someone began shooting, police said.

Sermons, from Springfield Gardens, was shot in the neck and leg and pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, according to police.

A 21-year-old woman was also hit in the buttocks and leg and a 31-year-old man had a graze wound to his head, police said. Both were taken to Elmhurst Hospital and were listed Friday in stable condition, police said.

A candlelight vigil was held Nov. 2 in front of the auto body shop on Barnwell Avenue where Sermons was killed, according to a Facebook page set up in her honor.

Friends wrote messages on a makeshift shrine and left candles, teddy bears and angel statue — and one message said they promised to find who shot her and asked her to "save a seat for me in heaven."

"Love you Mar," a note read. "Watch out for all us party girls."

Police on Monday said the investigation was ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Friday.
