ASTORIA — Seven people were seriously injured in a collision involving an MTA bus servicing Rikers Island and two other vehicles on Monday afternoon, officials said.

Three others suffered minor injuries in the incident on 21st Street near 23rd Avenue, near Astoria Park, according to the FDNY.

The Q100, which travels between Long Island City and Rikers Island, had just left the LaGuardia Bus Depot prior to the crash, which occurred just before 3 p.m., an MTA spokesperson said.

Patients were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

Q100 buses and the Q69, which also travels along 21st Street, experienced detours in both directions as of 4 p.m.
