THE BRONX — One man died and another was arrested after crashing their all-terrain vehicles in Kingsbridge Heights Sunday evening, police said.
Paul Rodriguez, 35, was riding his ATV north on Bailey Avenue when another ATV rider, who wasn't wearing a helmet, rear-ended him at 233rd Street just before 6 p.m., according to an NYPD spokesman.
Rodriguez, who lived in Inwood, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
The other driver, Daniel McGivney, injured his right leg and was taken to North Central Bronx Hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
McGivney was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and reckless driving, a police spokesman said.
He was also issued violations for driving without a helmet and driving without insurance, police said.
