STATEN ISLAND — A man grabbed an elderly woman's chain from her neck inside her Staten Island apartment building on Monday, police said.
The suspect followed the 79-year-old woman into the lobby of the building, in the NYPD's 120 Precinct, shortly after noon on Monday, police said.
He grabbed the chain from around the woman's neck and fled the building on foot.
Police did not release the address where the incident took place.
