COBBLE HILL — Atlantic Avenue’s biggest outdoor party is back for its 40th year on Sunday with food, drink and dozens of live music performances.

The Atlantic Antic Festival will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Sept. 28 along the thoroughfare from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue near the Barclays Center, organizers said.

Hundreds of local businesses, craft and food vendors will also return to the festival, including Sixpoint Brewery with their signature “Antic Amber” just for the event.

Twelve stages will be set up along the mile-long festival at almost every block, with performances from bands like the Dysfunctional Family Jazz Band, The Windsor Terrors and Les Sans Culottes, according to a press release.

The Brooklyn Ballet will also perform during the welcome ceremony at 2 p.m. on the Atlantic Avenue and Clinton Street mainstage, spokeswoman Michelle Karshan said.

One block of Atlantic Avenue will be dedicated to children’s activities, pony rides and face-painting as well as two family stages at opposite ends of the festival.

And while it isn’t an official part of the street festival, the New York Transit Museum will add to the festivities with its annual bus festival featuring more than a dozen vintage vehicles, including a double-decker bus that operated in Manhattan from 1931 to 1953.

The annual street festival is organized by the Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation.
