QUEENS — A woman died when a motorcycle she was riding on lost control and crashed on the Grand Central Parkway in East Elmhurst early Tuesday, killing her and seriously injuring the driver, authorities said.

The woman, 20, was riding with a 21-year-old man driving westbound on the thoroughfare when he lost control of the vehicle just before the 94th Street exit at about 4:27 a.m., police said. Neither of their names were immediately released.

Emergency responders rushed the woman to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver's leg and shoulder were injured and he was treated at the same hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
