QUEENS — A man was fatally struck by a Forest Hills-bound R train in an Elmhurst subway station Friday afternoon, officials said.
The man, whose name and age were not immediately released, was hit inside the Grand Avenue-Newtown subway station, at Queens Boulevard and Grand Avenue, about 1:10 p.m., according to FDNY and MTA officials.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the MTA said.
