STUYVESANT TOWN — Police are looking for a well-dressed man who is grabbing women’s butts in apartment buildings in Stuy Town and nearby, NYPD said.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a black sports jacket, dress pants, a light colored dress shirt and black dress shoes, struck most recently on June 15, when he groped a 22-year-old woman in her Stuyvesant Oval apartment building at 2:05 a.m., police said.

He rode the elevator with the resident and then followed her to her floor before he groped her, police said. It wasn't immediately clear how he got access into the building.

He also grabbed a 24-year-old woman's butt in the hallway of her apartment building on East 14th Street at 2:52 a.m. on May 18, police said.

He followed the victim home and entered the building as she was going in using an access card, police said.

Police described the suspect as a 25-to-35-year-old man, 5-foot-7, weighing 175 to 200 pounds. He was caught in surveillance video walking into a Stuy-Town vestibule alone. The suspect has short dark hair and a beard, according to the video.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS(8477) or submit tips online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
