HELL'S KITCHEN — A woman was hit by a flying saw blade during the morning commute on Tuesday, officials said.

According to police sources, the woman was walking near West 48th Street and Ninth Avenue at about 8:52 a.m. when she was hit by the spinning blade and knocked to the ground.

Workers were using the circular blade as part of a five-year project to build new water mains in the area.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, an FDNY spokesman said.

The city's Department of Design and Construction, which is overseeing the project, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
