Friday, May 16
Creative Mischief is the National Academy Museum and School’s annual open house. Explore two floors of large-scale, site-specific installations, abstract paintings and dynamic figurative works, prints, photographs and cyanotypes, plus video and animation at Fifth Avenue’s historic Huntington Mansion, which is home to the museum. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Sunday, 1083 Fifth Ave. at 89th Street, Upper East Side. Free.

The Stained Glass from Canterbury Cathedral traveled more than 3,000 miles to reach New York City. The least you can do is head uptown to The Cloisters to gaze in wonderment before this unique exhibition — Radiant Light: Stained Glass From Canterbury Cathedral at The Cloisters — closes on Sunday.  The Cloisters is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. until 4:45 p.m., 99 Margaret Corbin Dr, Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan. $25.

Saturday, May 17
The Democracy Prep Public Schools are on a mission to celebrate Korean culture with the good folk of Harlem. This  weekend they're hosting a Korean Street Festival with Korean games, face painting, raffles, food and student performances (dance, drumming, singing and taekwondo) from 12 to 5 p.m. on 134th Street between Adam Clayton Powell and Frederick Douglass boulevards in Harlem. The event is open to all. Admission is free as are all the activities and performances.

Tour the “Glittering Realms” of Greenpoint's industrial past on this Atlas Obscura walking tour exploration of Brooklyn’s Greenpoint. The tour is an opportunity to take in the remaining vestiges of Greenpoint’s past as a colonial center and 19th century industrial powerhouse before the neighborhood changes dramatically, altered by real estate development in the coming years. Led by Newtown Creek Alliance historian Mitch Waxman. 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.. Meet at the Nassau Avenue stop on the G train on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Tickets $20.

Sunday, May 18
The Rocks Off crew hosts walking tours that ooze gritty New York City downtown culture. Their three-hour “History of Art, Crime, Drugs and Punk Rock on the Lower East Side” tour takes you back to the days when CBGB’s was rocking with the sounds of The Ramones, Talking Heads and Patti Smith. Rediscover forgotten historical venues (Max's Kansas City, Trash and Vaudeville punk store, Electric Circus studios) and sites like The Ritz (now Webster Hall) and Manitoba’s that continue to reverberate. Imagine John Belushi slam dancing to Black Flag at Irving Plaza. Hosted by long term resident and singer with punk rockers Cro-Mags, John Joseph. 12 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, meetup location Astor Place, $35.

Just Drop In! to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum this (and every) Sunday through July 20 at 1 p.m. and explore exhibition highlights through creative and interactive projects led by museum educators. For families with children age between 3 and 10. Free with museum admission. 1071 5th Avenue (at 89th Street), Upper East Side. Open today 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Adults $22, Children under 12 Free.
