
BROOKLYN — A 10-year-old girl was recovering at a Brooklyn hospital after she was hit by an NYPD patrol car in Brownsville Sunday night, a police spokesman said.
The girl, whose name was not released, was walking south on Mother Gaston Boulevard at New Lots Avenue where an eastbound NYPD car hit her about 11:15 p.m., the NYPD said.
The girl was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was listed in stable condition, a police spokesman said.
The driver, a police officer whose name was not released, was taken to Jamaica Hospital for evaluation, the NYPD said.
A police spokesman said the girl had darted into traffic and was not under any adult supervision.
