FLATIRON — A kids doctor's office is opening in Flatiron this summer — with child-friendly tablets for the young patients to play with while they wait.

Flatiron Pediatrics, on the ground floor of 27 E. 22nd St. between Broadway and Park Avenue, will feature a waiting room with wall-mounted tablets loaded with games to keep kids entertained, owner Dr. Victoria Riese said.

“It’s not going to feel like a doctor’s office,” said Riese, 33, a pediatrician. “The overall feeling of it is going to be a beautiful, welcoming, comfortable space that people are going to enjoy coming to.”

The 2,000-square-foot practice, opening in late August, will offer medical care for children and families, along with monthly free and low-cost parenting classes in childhood nutrition, breastfeeding, vaccinations and discipline techniques. It will have five exam rooms and two doctor's offices.

“I’ve lived in the area for 10 years, and have just seen a growing number of families and children in the neighborhood,” Riese said. “The first thing that makes us different is convenience. You can see us from the street and stroll right in.”

Riese previously worked as a pediatrician at Global Pediatrics on the Upper East Side for three and a half years.

“I’ve always wanted to open my own practice, and it was just the right time,” she said.
