ELMHURST — Neighborhood cyclists will have more places to park their wheels later this spring.

Members of Community Board 4 voted at their monthly meeting on Tuesday to install a bike corral on a side street off Roosevelt Avenue.

The rack will be placed in front of the popular music venue Terraza 7, at 40-19 Gleane St., according to District Manager Christian Cassagnol.

It's designed to hold around six bikes and is being placed in an unused curb cut, he said.

The spot is the only one that will be taken away from the street, and the space will be protected with planters and flexible barriers according to the Department of Transportation.

A similar corral was installed on 82nd Street last year and is maintained by the 82nd Street Partnership, the DOT said.

The Elmhurst rack is expected to be installed later this spring and will be maintained by Terraza 7.
