A month-long spa pop-up that offers massages and acupuncture as well as astrology and tarot card readings is warming up Smith Street in February.
Element Natural Healing Arts, a spa and wellness center that has an existing location at 518 Henry St. in Carroll Gardens is temporarily expanding into a second studio at 233 Smith St. from Feb. 2 to Feb. 28.
“We are transforming the space into an extension of our studio on Henry Street and are so excited to be bringing our services to a brand-new clientele on Smith,” said Element Natural Healing Arts owner Christina Morris.
The pop-up site will also offer facials, brow waxing and a variety of massages, including deep tissue, Swedish and hot stone. The pop-up location offers discounted prices ranging from $40 for a half-hour treatment to $85 for an hour, depending on the massage.
Tarot card and astrology readings, which proponents say help provide insight into life's problems, cost between $50 to $150 for 30 to 90 minutes.
The spa opted to expand for the month of February because the runup to Valentine’s Day is typically a very busy time, according to spokeswoman Jessica Tolliver.
Massages and spa treatments are popular romantic gifts, she added. And while the pop-up doesn't have enough room for couples massages, Element Natural’s Henry Street location will be available for appointments, she said.
