BATTERY PARK CITY — Shari Hyman, the city’s business integrity commissioner, has been named the new president and chief operating officer of the Battery Park City Authority, the BPCA announced Tuesday.

Hyman, a former Manhattan assistant district attorney who’s held numerous positions in city government, will take over as president on Feb. 10, the BPCA said.

She replaces interim president Robert Serpico, the authority’s current chief financial officer, who took the temporary position after Demetrios Boutris abruptly resigned from the job in August.

Boutris left the position without public comment after less than 10 months as president.

"I am thrilled to welcome such an accomplished professional to lead our operations at the Authority," BPCA chairman Dennis Mehiel said in a statement, "and look forward to working closely with Shari in our continuing effort to further the mission of our organization."
