GOWANUS — A Brooklyn garage was turned into the house of slithering on Monday afternoon, when a mechanic found three massive snakes in the garbage outside.

The auto shop worker was less than charmed by the massive boa constrictors — one of which was 6 feet long — that he found writhing inside bags in the dumpster outside a Baltic Street shop Monday afternoon, officials said.

The snakes — the other two of which were approximately 3 feet long — were found inside a knapsack and two plastic grocery bags in the garbage near Finest Towing and Autobody at 577 Baltic St. near Third Avenue about 2:30 p.m., according to owner Anthony Finest.

"They were moving in the garbage," he said. "We didn't know if it was a baby or what."

Police confirmed that they got a 911 call of a baby left in the garbage in front of the garage and found the snakes.

"This has never happened here before," said Finest, who has owned the business for 18 years.

Animal Care and Control, which is responsible for wild animals discovered in city limits, said the NYPD brought the snakes to headquarters for safekeeping. AC&C will find a proper home for the animals through the New Hope placement program.
