THE BRONX — An off-duty school safety agent was arrested Wednesday night after she threatened her boyfriend's mother with a knife, an NYPD spokesman said.

Rita Rodriguez, 32, was arrested about 9 p.m. after the incident inside her home within the 52nd Precinct, which includes Bedford Park, Fordham and Kingsbridge, police said.

It was not immediately clear what the dispute was about, an NYPD spokesman said.

She faced charges of menacing, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.

No injuries were reported after the incident, a police spokesman said.
