THE BRONX — A man fatally stabbed his brother in the head during a fight in their Claremont apartment Wednesday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.
Dayshawn Lawson, 21, was embroiled in a dispute with his brother, 22-year-old Andre Lawson, inside their eighth floor apartment in the Morris Houses when the younger of the two pierced the other's head, police said.
The 22-year-old was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead, the NYPD said.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and faced charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD said.
Dayshawn Lawson has more than 20 prior arrests for assault, robbery and, most recently, for marijuana possession in November, a police spokesman said.
