NEW SPRINGVILLE — Two women were struck and killed by a minivan on Staten Island Wednesday night, police said.

The two women, identified as 47-year-old Marion Anderson, from Bath Beach, and 59-year-old Lizette Sorrano, from Arrochar, were crossing Forest Hill Road near the New Springville Little League about 5:30 p.m. when they were struck by a 59-year-old man driving a 2013 Honda Odyssey, police said.

The two women were rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North, where they were pronounced dead on arrival, according to the NYPD.

The driver remained on the scene, police said.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
