NEW YORK CITY — A Staten Island woman was found dead after a blazing house fire on Saturday.
Firefighters responded to the residential fire on 470 Hawthorne Ave., about 6 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Paramedics found an unidentified 61-year-old woman unconscious and with several burns all over her body, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner's office have not yet determined the cause of death.
An investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing, officials said.
