QUEENS — An Ozone Park man stabbed his wife to death in their home after an argument over infidelity before trying to kill himself Friday morning, sources said.

The 41-year-old woman, whose identity was not released, was found unconscious with stab wounds to her chest about 3 a.m. in their home on 80th Street, near Liberty Avenue, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police officers broke into a locked bedroom where they found the victim. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

After stabbing the woman, her 50-year-old husband then stabbed himself in the gut in an attempt to commit suicide, sources said. The man, whose identity was not released, was found in another room of the house still clutching the blade, police said.

He was also taken to Jamaica hospital and was listed in stable condition, the NYPD said.

Sources said the fight was over allegations of infidelity, but it wasn't clear who was thought to be cheating on whom.

The suspect was awaiting charges, an NYPD spokesman said.
