MEATPACKING DISTRICT — A man was arrested after slashing another man ordering food at a halal cart, NYPD said.

A 22-year-old man was ordering food at a halal food cart on the southwest corner of West 14th and Hudson streets, when he saw Noel Guipson, 35, chasing and fighting two unknown men on the street, according to a police report.

Although the reason is not immediately clear, that’s when Guipson turned, approached the victim and cut him on his right hand with an unknown object and fled south on Hudson at about 4:33 a.m. on Nov. 1., police said.

Police canvassed the area and arrested Guipson. The victim suffered a cut on his right hand requiring stitches, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Giupson was charged with assault. Information regarding his attorney was not immediately available.
