THE BRONX — An ex-boyfriend of a young woman found beaten to death along with her mother in their apartment was arrested Saturday, and several others were soon after nabbed in the robbery that left the two women dead.

Ida Randoph, 55, and Jena Randolph, 21, were discovered dead in two separate rooms of their Valentine Avenue apartment in Bedford Park on Thursday evening, police said.

Andrew Scott, 23, an ex-boyfriend of Jena's from East Harlem, was initially charged in the double-murder Saturday, police said, but then two others, Joshua Lopez, 26, and Brittney Austin, 23, both from Valentine Avenue in the Bronx, were charged with two counts of murder and two counts of first-degree robbery, police said.

Police believe the attacks took place after Jena tried to break up with Scott and kick him out of the apartment he shared with her and her mother, the NY Post reported.

Austin and Lopez also face charges of criminal possesion of a weapon, police said.

Scott has 15 prior arrests, including felony assault and reckless endangerment, the Daily News wrote.

The NYPD could not identify what the relationship between Scott, Austin and Lopez was on Sunday and said an investigation was ongoing.
