FLATIRON — Vote for your favorite mayoral candidate — at a Flatiron bar.

Greensquare Tavern, an American gastro pub, has crafted two new cocktails named after mayoral candidates Joe Lhota and Bill de Blasio and is asking patrons to cast their vote by buying a drink, said Leon Bell, co-owner of the restaurant located at 5 W. 21st St.

The de Blasio is a bright blue drink made with light rum, blue curacao, liqueur, lemon and bitters, with a pinch of "sick dance moves," to honor the Democratic candidate's penchant for getting down, according to Bell.

The Lhota comes in Republican red, and is made with vodka, soda, cranberry juice and lime, and a dash of "mall cops," in honor of Lhota's flub about the Port Authority's Police Department, Bell said.

“We figured the Democrats were rum drinkers because they’re into festive partying, and Republicans are more serious, so we went with the straight vodka drink,” Bell said.

"It's all in good jest," Bell said. "In the restaurant, we don't discuss politics and religion. But this is a very important election. We want to make people aware of what's going on and encourage them to go out there and vote."

Each drink costs $10 and will be available through the Nov. 5 election, Bell said.
