UNION SQUARE — Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a man at Union Square Park and then used the stolen credit card to treat his friends to a feast at McDonald's minutes later.

At about 12:30 a.m. on July 26, two unidentified suspects approached a 24-year-old man at Union Square Park and placed what appeared to be a metal object against the victim’s chest, police said.

Then the suspects demanded the victim’s property and fled with his wallet.

Twenty minutes later, one of the suspects was seen using the victim’s stolen credit card inside of a McDonald’s, located at 809 6th Ave. He was accompanied by three men in their 20s, who the police are seeking as persons of interest.

The suspect is described as a male in his 20s, who was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with a white symbol on the front, and a black long-sleeve t-shirt.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
