Motorcyclist Dies After Striking Parked Car in Queens

ELMHURST — A man from Long Island was killed Friday after he struck a parked vehicle on his motorcycle, police said.

Carlos Leon, 26, was found suffering from bodily trauma at the intersection of Junction Boulevard and 52nd Aveue at 8:10 p.m. Friday night by police responding to a 911 call in Elmhurst, cops said. 

Leon was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, but declared dead on arrival. Police discovered that Leon, who was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, was headed northbound on Junction Boulevard when he struck a parked 2009 Toyota van that was not occupied.

Police said an investigation was ongoing.
