BROOKLYN — Two cops were among seven people hospitalized after a car chase ended in a multi-car crash in East New York Wednesday morning, officials said.

The officers were pursuing a drunk driver they suspected of being involved in a Queens crash and who fled into Brooklyn, where he slammed into another car near Atlantic and Van Siclen avenues about 2 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

Seven people were hospitalized with minor injuries, including the two officers, an FDNY spokesman said.

The police officers were taken to Jamaica Hospital while all the other patients were treated at Brookdale Hospital, the FDNY spokesman said.

The driver, whose identity was not released, was taken into custody at the scene of the second crash and is awaiting charges, a police spokesman said.
