SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — Two men snatched $1,645 worth of fragrances from a recently reopened South Street Seaport Abercrombie & Fitch last week, police said.
The men grabbed 19 fragrance bottles from the clothing chain's display shelf about 5 p.m. Aug. 9 and quickly tossed them into their bags, according to police reports.
The alleged shoplifters then bolted out of the 199 Water St. shop — which had been closed because of Hurricane Sandy damage until last month.
Police were still investigating the crime and had not made any arrests as of Tuesday.
