COBBLE HILL — A Manhattan salon and finishing bar will open their first Brooklyn location in the neighborhood next month.
Fox & Jane will start a four-chair salon on Sept. 1, on Court Street between Congress and Warren streets, that serves beer and wine while looking to create a “welcoming experience” for their clients.
“It’s almost like a barber shop for high-end hair,” said Lorean Cairns, co-founder and creative director of Fox & Jane. “It’s just a much more intimate experience.”
The hair and make-up boutique’s Brooklyn outpost will offer services like cutting, coloring, specialists for curly hair, Keratin smoothing treatment and men’s hair services.
Cairns, who has opened locations in San Diego, East Village and Lower East Side, said she knew her next stop would be Brooklyn.
After looking at spots on Atlantic Avenue and in Park Slope, she settled on Cobble Hill's combination of "small town and hip."
"Our brand is just much more quaint and charming," she said. “When I saw Court Street, I just fell in love."
